Jenica's flower of the week: snapdragons!
Snapdragons are some of the most interesting flowers because of the way their blossoms look and move. When you gently squeeze the sides of the flower, it opens and closes like a little dragon's mouth (which is how it got it's name!) They come in many colors including pink, yellow, white, and purple. Snapdragons grow best in sunny areas with well drained soil, and they also attract bees and other pollinators which helps other plants grow!
Come visit Jenica at another pop up at Tri-Fecta Family Farms Market this Saturday from 10-12!

🌼 POP UP FLOWER MARKET🌼
🎉 We’re excited to welcome a special young lady to the market this Saturday, Jenica from De Jager Acres!
🩷 One of our favorite things about this community is cheering on the next generation of entrepreneurs. While you’re picking up your favorite steak and eggs, be sure to stop by our young entrepreneur’s pop-up flower stand and treat yourself (or your wife, neighbor, or friend) to a beautiful bouquet of fresh-cut flowers.
💐 Supporting local isn’t just about buying local—it’s about believing in our people.
👋🏼 We can’t wait to see you this Saturday from 10-12!

Follow along as Jenica shares her love for flowers!

Hi! I'm Jenica DeJager and I would like to share a little bit about my cut flower business with you!
I started loving flowers at around age 10 and have loved every greenhouse run, seed catalog, or flower class since. About 3 years ago, I took over my mom's three big flower beds, one raised bed, and about 15 pots that I would w**d and water.
This year, my family helped me turn what used to be a sunflower patch into a 38x32ft flower garden. I have learned a lot throughout the planting season and the awful w**ding season that never seems to end! I am finally getting enough flowers that I am able to sell two or three bouquets weekly, and hopefully more soon! Stay tuned and follow along as I highlight a different flower weekly!

With the "waste" from our apple c***r (peels, cores, etc) we are attempting to make apple c***r vinegar! I am using Melissa K Norris from Pioneering Academy's recipe for this. I filled up 2/3 of my gallon jar with apple scraps, and added water to the top. I will let this sit on the counter for 2-3 weeks for the first ferment!
