Jenica's flower of the week: snapdragons!
Snapdragons are some of the most interesting flowers because of the way their blossoms look and move. When you gently squeeze the sides of the flower, it opens and closes like a little dragon's mouth (which is how it got it's name!) They come in many colors including pink, yellow, white, and purple. Snapdragons grow best in sunny areas with well drained soil, and they also attract bees and other pollinators which helps other plants grow!

Huge shout out and thank you to Tri-Fecta Farms Family Market for hosting Jenica's pop-up flower shop today! She had a wonderful time! There are a few bouquets left if anyone is interested. The sunflower one is $30 and all the rest are $20 each.

Follow along as Jenica shares her love for flowers!

Hi! I'm Jenica DeJager and I would like to share a little bit about my cut flower business with you!
I started loving flowers at around age 10 and have loved every greenhouse run, seed catalog, or flower class since. About 3 years ago, I took over my mom's three big flower beds, one raised bed, and about 15 pots that I would w**d and water.
This year, my family helped me turn what used to be a sunflower patch into a 38x32ft flower garden. I have learned a lot throughout the planting season and the awful w**ding season that never seems to end! I am finally getting enough flowers that I am able to sell two or three bouquets weekly, and hopefully more soon! Stay tuned and follow along as I highlight a different flower weekly!
