Meet Jonathan, one of the experts helping communities make every drop count.
As an Irrigation Specialist, Jonathan supports properties throughout South San Diego through the MCV branch and assists the Vista area through the MCB branch. With nearly a decade of irrigation experience and six years with Park West, he brings strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to responsible water management.
His certifications and specialized training include Certified Irrigation Technician, QWEL, Recycled Water Site Supervisor, ETwater smart irrigation systems, WeatherTRAK, Hunter Industries systems, and advanced two-wire irrigation technology.
Jonathan specializes in recycled water management, regulatory compliance, recycled water inspections, controller programming, water conservation, and irrigation system optimization. He also has extensive experience diagnosing complex electrical and wiring issues across both conventional and two-wire systems.
In 2024, Jonathan worked alongside Jim Stauter to upgrade more than 35 flow sensors and master valves across multiple irrigation systems. The project improved system reliability, strengthened water management capabilities, and restored the systems to efficient operating condition.
He has also helped reduce water consumption at several properties by correcting irrigation deficiencies, repairing failed components, improving controller programming, and implementing stronger water management practices. These improvements helped conserve water, improve landscape health, and reduce long-term maintenance needs.
Jonathan is especially proud of helping lead a large number of recycled water inspections throughout South San Diego in 2023 and 2024. Many of the properties had not been inspected for several years. Through careful coordination with property managers and water agencies, he helped bring the sites back into compliance while building trust and a stronger working relationship with the local Water Department.
Beyond his own responsibilities, Jonathan regularly shares his knowledge and provides support to fellow irrigation technicians whenever needed.
