Been getting a bunch of messages: “What laser is that?”

New LaserLine Manufacturing unit. Three times brighter than the previous model. Still legal. Definitely an upgrade over what I was running.
Single stalls and crosshatches — I can pick it up on the face of the curb in full sun a lot of the time. Still grab the shadow box or target when the line gets long.
Seeing it on the curb face while you’re doing singles is the part that actually changes the day. Faster, cleaner, less guessing.
If you’ve been watching the videos, that’s what’s on the machine.

The woman who wrote Jolene, Coat of Many Colors, and I Will Always Love You left us today at 80.

She came out of a two-room cabin in the Smokies and spent the rest of her life making sure kids had books in their hands. Imagination Library mailed hundreds of millions of them. That was the real work.

Read to your children tonight. That’s how you thank her.
