Here’s another recent bathroom remodel we completed.

Every home, and every homeowner is unique. The primary goal for this one was accessibility for the shower. To achieve this, we were able to provide a curb-less shower for an easier entry into the shower itself. Something I always do, move the shower controls over to where they are accessible from the shower doorway, no reason to get wet when turning your shower on! The tile ledge we built also offers plenty of storage space for those that prefer that look instead of a recessed niche.

I had a lot of fun with the tile selections for this one, the green Kit Kat wall tile matched very nicely with our darker recycled glass mosaic floor, which is one of my favorite products to use. These combinations really worked well together to personalize and bring some color.

☎️ Whether you’re interested in updating your bathroom with a new look, or gaining accessibility and safety in the most important space in your home, give me a shout, I’m always happy to help.

Level entry, or curb-less showers are one of my favorite projects to do. They offer a sleek and modern look, accessibility, and safety for those that need it.

However, they are also a very common failure that I see. The previous curb-less shower was incorrectly installed. It leaked, causing major damage to the home, and rotted out all of the surrounding subfloor. This is why it is so important to ensure that your contractor is competent and familiar with the unique challenge that comes with a curb-less shower.

As a bit of a rant, I have seen multiples of these in the last few months. So for those out there, that means STOP cutting floor joists, and STOP trying to use a clamping ring drain assembly and liner, there is no approved way to do that, and it doesn’t work. A curb-less shower requires a bonded fl**ge, and topical waterproofing. I’m sick and tired of seeing people’s homes damaged because someone thinks they can just wing it.

We came in, reframed the bathroom floor, installed our curbless shower system, flood tested to ensure a successful install, added a grab bar for stability, a large recessed niche for storage, and now the owners will be able to safely enjoy their bathroom for years to come.

Check out this shower remodel project we recently completed. The previous shower had leaked in multiple areas, creating damage and mold. We made sure that will never happen again!

With a large recessed niche, foot rest for shaving, and multiple storage shelves, this shower is comfortable and functional.
