In various articles that have been written about my work over the last thirty years, several words
are used repeatedly to describe my bears. They
include warm, inviting, packed with personality,
magical, radiating happiness, whimsical,
delightful, darling, diminutive, unassuming and
winsome. My favorite pieces over the last few years
have been part of my bears&boxes series. Each is one-of-a-kind
and includes many unique
details. I try to incorporate special techniques
and include distinctive elements in hopes that
when people peer into them they will find
themselves exploring a new world. Between the
bears and the other bears artists - whom I
absolutely love, I feel fortunate to be able to
express my creativity through teddy bears.
