Cold Outside. Comfortable Inside. Meet MoovAir.
Think heat pumps are only for mild winters? MoovAir’s Central-Moov Heat+ cold-climate lineup is designed for more. MoovAir advertises full rated heating capacity down to 4°F, with continued heating operation down to −22°F at reduced capacity. That means maintaining substantial heating output well below freezing—not simply shutting down when temperatures drop.
Comfort that adjusts to your home. A variable-speed inverter compressor increases or decreases output as your home’s needs change, instead of only running at full power or switching off. This helps maintain steadier temperatures and reduces repeated starts and stops. Selected Central-Moov models also offer outdoor sound ratings as low as 57 dB(A).
Efficiency that can make a difference. Selected current Central-Moov configurations offer cooling efficiency up to 19 SEER2. Strong cold-weather performance can also reduce reliance on electric backup heat strips. Because a heat pump moves heat rather than generating all of it with electric heating elements, it can lower heating energy use—especially when replacing electric resistance heating. Actual savings depend on your home, equipment, weather, and utility rates.
Duke Energy rebates may help with the upgrade. Qualifying installations may be eligible for HVAC replacement rebates, with the amount depending on the equipment and applicable program requirements. At TLC Heating and Cooling, we’ll help you compare your options and understand what to verify before choosing a system.
