Last week, we paused to celebrate the close of our fiscal year and the people who made it possible.

The fun team awards and laughter were a reminder of how much we’ve grown together. We’re grateful for the hard work, the willingness to lend a hand, and the friendships that make coming to work about more than the work itself.

Our FSC team brought home 3rd place at the Johnston County Education Foundation’s Adult Spelling Bee the other night! 🐝🥉

After four tough rounds, we’re proud of our team for putting their spelling skills to the test and representing Fred Smith Company. It was a fun evening of friendly competition in support of education right here in Johnston County.

Fred Smith Company is making progress on the widening of Old Stage Road.

The project will add two lanes, realign the intersection at Rock Service Road, and add turn lanes at Banks Road.

Our work includes:
• 7,300 linear feet of drainage pipe and 60 drainage structures
• Approximately 20,000 tons of asphalt
• Approximately 12,500 linear feet of curb
• Approximately 17,000 cubic yards of earthwork
