Listen every Saturday 8am-11am on 680AM-92.9FM Raleigh. WPTF's Weekend Gardener is an institution in the Triangle area of North Carolina. The Weekend Gardener has been on the air for decades, debuting as the Triangle Gardener in the mid-1940's. Mike Raley has hosted "The Weekend Gardener" since 1984 and is joined each Saturday morning by Master Gardener Ann Clapp and on occasion by North Carolina's official "Secretary of Gardening", Rufus Edmisten.

I have worn a lot of hats in for this company during the last 51 years, hosting talk shows, playing records, serving as the morning news anchor for WQDR, working with some of the most talented people in the business (some pictured here with little ole me). And, many years as the morning anchor for our statewide network. I am so proud and thankful. Happy “National Radio Day” to all the hard working (public servant) broadcasters!
