This is the kind of review that makes the whole job worth it.

We just finished a backyard in Franklinton, NC installing an ashlar slate stamped concrete patio in Coachella Sand with a Colina Tan antique release, plus a Belgard Dimond Pro retaining wall in Sheffield to square up the grade and give the patio a solid, level base to sit on.
Here's what the homeowner told us: "Tim and his crew installed a stamped concrete patio and retaining wall in our backyard. The team was so professional and friendly. They listened to what we needed and made it happen quickly and efficiently. We will use TrulyHome Concrete again and highly recommend them."

This is why we do it this way. We listen first, then build it right. If you're in Franklinton or anywhere in the Triangle and want a backyard like this one, get a free estimate.

Before & after driveway replacement in Black Horse Run, Raleigh NC

We just wrapped up a full concrete driveway replacement in the Black Horse Run neighborhood in North Raleigh, and we're really proud of this one.

The original driveway was about 40 yards of old concrete that had seen better days: cracking all the way through, heaving in spots, and honestly becoming a safety issue. The homeowner had been putting up with it for years.

We pulled it all out, regraded the base, added stone subgrade, wire mesh and poured a fresh new broom finished driveway with a picture frame border. The transformation speaks for itself.

We're a local Raleigh concrete company serving homeowners across Wake County. Whether you're in Black Horse Run, Brier Creek, Wakefield, or anywhere in the Raleigh area, we offer free estimates and honest pricing.

Give us a call. We'd love to show you what we can do.

Most driveway problems don't show up all at once. They sneak up on you, a little crack here, some peeling there, until one day you look outside and think, "when did it get that bad?"

That's exactly what happened with this driveway on Purnell Rd in Wake Forest. Peeling, surface breakdown, early signs of serious failure. By the time we got out there, patching it wasn't really an option anymore. It needed to come out.

Here's the thing a lot of homeowners don't realize: resurfacing or patching a driveway that's already failing just delays the inevitable. We've seen it happen, homeowner spends money on a patch job, and two years later they're calling us anyway. Now they've paid twice.

We don't do band-aid fixes.

For this one, we pulled everything out and started fresh:

✔ Evaluated the subgrade first (because what's underneath matters just as much)
✔ Compacted base for real long-term stability
✔ Proper slope and drainage built into the form
✔ High-strength concrete, poured and finished right

The result is a driveway that's actually built to last, not just look good for a season.

If yours is chipping, flaking, cracking or just looking rough , shoot us a message. We'll give you an honest take on what it actually needs. No pressure, No upsell.

We work throughout Wake Forest, Raleigh, Cary, and the surrounding areas. 🏡

Most contractors would just pour more concrete here… and create a bigger problem.

This backyard slopes toward the house, so every time it rains, water runs straight onto the patio.

Before we could extend anything, we had to dig into the hill, redirect the water, and prep for a retaining wall that actually protects the space.

This is the part most people don’t see but it’s what makes the patio last.

If your yard slopes, don’t skip this step.

Thinking about adding a garage, shed, or home addition this spring? 🏠

Here's something worth knowing before you start. The foundation matters more than most people realize. A monolithic slab is poured all at once (footings and slab together), which means faster installation, fewer weak points, and less that can go wrong over time. For garages, sheds, and smaller additions, it's honestly one of the best options out there.

At TrulyHome Concrete, we put a lot of care into the prep work: proper grading, compaction, and reinforcement. Not the flashiest part of the job, but it's what determines whether your slab looks great 20 years from now or starts giving you problems in 5.

Spring is already booking up, so if you've got a project on your mind, now's a great time to reach out. Drop a comment, send us a message, or give us a call at 919-591-8993. We're happy to talk through your project with you.

But there was one problem.
There was no real space to gather.
No patio. No entertaining area. Just open yard.
So they called TrulyHome Concrete.

In just one day, our team installed a brand-new concrete patio, instantly creating a dedicated space for grilling, relaxing, and hosting family and friends.

Now instead of unused backyard space, they have a durable patio built for summer evenings, cookouts, and everyday outdoor living.

For this Durham, NC backyard, the paver option came in nearly 3x higher than stamped concrete.

So the homeowner chose Ashlar Slate stamped concrete instead.
They still got the natural stone look of slate…
but at a price that actually made sense.

For this patio installation we used an Ashlar slate stamped pattern with a seamless texture border, which gives the patio a clean framed edge and a more custom finished look.

Stamped concrete has become one of the most popular choices for homeowners who want the look of stone without the cost of pavers.

If you're considering a stamped concrete patio in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, or Wake Forest, we’re happy to walk you through pattern, color, and border options.

Would you choose pavers or stamped concrete for your backyard?

Comment PATIO if you're thinking about adding one this year and we’ll send you some ideas.

Just wrapped up this Ashlar Slate stamped concrete patio in Durham, NC, finished with a seamless texture border for a clean, framed edge.

The homeowner originally planned to install pavers, but the paver option came in nearly 3x the cost. Stamped concrete allowed them to achieve the natural stone look of slate at a much more practical price, while still getting a durable, long-lasting patio.

For this project we installed an Ashlar slate stamped pattern with a seamless textured border, giving the patio a custom look that ties in nicely with the home and surrounding landscape.

Thinking about adding a stamped concrete patio in Raleigh, Wake Forest, Apex or Cary? We’d be happy to walk you through pattern options, borders, and colors to create something that fits your space and budget.
