Yellow Jacket, European Hornet & Bald faced Hornet season is officially in full swing!

An excellent job by Justin & Stephen —and three very happy customers! 👏

One of our biggest areas of expertise is getting to the root of the problem instead of simply putting a Band-Aid on it.

A lot of companies will spray a nest and call it a day, leaving thousands of dead yellow jackets or hornets to rot inside the wall. That may eliminate the immediate activity, but it doesn't always address the bigger problem.

We took the more difficult route: locating the nest, removing the source of the infestation, and making sure the area was properly addressed so our customers could feel safe and protected.

At Rise, we don't believe in shortcuts. We believe in solving the problem correctly. 💪

3rd Time’s the Charm! 🐝🏡

This beautiful home had honeybees move in three different times! 🐝🐝🐝

The first two removals were performed by another company, but unfortunately, the cavity was not properly packed with insulation after the bees were removed—leaving the perfect opportunity for another colony to move right back in.

This time, we made sure the cavity was properly packed and sealed to help prevent bees from returning to this space. We don’t just remove the bees—we focus on addressing the conditions that allowed them to move in to begin with!

And because we stand behind our work, this service comes with a 5-year warranty.

Mariela is the heart behind all things scheduling and customer service here at Rise Pest & Wildlife Management. From keeping our schedule running smoothly to helping our customers feel taken care of, she is already making a huge impact on our team and the experience we provide.

And when she’s not keeping Rise organized, Mariela is busy building another amazing business with her husband, Matt Torres. Together, they are the owners of Whole Story Home Inspection helping homeowners make informed decisions about one of their biggest investments. If you don’t follow them already — go do it! 🏡

The Bats & the Bees 🐝🦇

It started as a honeybee removal… but this homeowner decided to take it one step further!

While we were safely removing and relocating a honeybee colony, we also noticed areas around the home that could potentially provide entry points for bats.

So why not take care of both? 🙌

After completing the bee removal, the homeowner opted for a preventative bat exclusion to seal up potential entry points before bats had a chance to move in.

Most pest control companies stop at the spray. We don’t. 🐝

When you call for a yellow jacket nest, many companies will treat the nest and move on. At Rise Pest & Wildlife Management, we take an extra step: **we remove the nest whenever it’s safely accessible.**

Why does that matter?

A dead yellow jacket nest can still contain larvae, insects, and organic material that can attract wildlife looking for an easy meal. Animals may dig into the area trying to get to the remains, potentially creating additional damage or disturbance.

Removing the nest and its contents helps eliminate that attractant and also reduces the chance of secondary pests and scavengers being drawn to the decaying nest material.

It’s a small extra step, but it’s part of what makes our service different.

We don’t just treat the problem. We take the time to clean it up, too. 💪

Yesterday we got a call from one of our commercial customers who had a bat inside their storefront. Being that they have customers coming/going on a regular basis, we had to act expeditiously. Luckily, we were at Bass Pro Shops in garner where we were a few rows away from everything we needed to safely release the bat from the inside of the store! After a few minutes, Stephen caught the bat, and safely released it outside. We love bats, just not in your storefront or in your attic. Make sure the wildlife company you’re hiring values protecting not only your home but also the wildlife entering it. 💓 🦇
