Thinking about building a deck? We added a Deck Studio to our website where you can put together a layout, choose real decking colors and railing options, and get a better idea of what everything looks like together.

Pretty useful if you’re the kind of person who needs to see it first.

Part of the reason I started this company was for this. I get to work beside my son, teach him a trade, show him what I’ve learned over the years, and watch him get better with every job.

He’s put a lot into this deck with me, and I’m proud of him. I know these are the days I’ll miss someday.

Well, we finally have a website.

There’s a lot of our work on there, a little more about what we do, and a way to get ahold of us without hunting through Facebook.

See what we’ve been working on.

Decks, interior renovations, and finish carpentry. Serving Racine, Kenosha, Milwaukee, and Northern Illinois.

We built the deck before we built the deck.

A&R can now walk homeowners through the size, decking, railing, stairs and finishes during the estimate—while the design and price update together.

Compare the options. Settle the details. Leave with a clear project summary.

A few more decisions made before the first board gets cut.

Eighteen years as a carpenter, and I still enjoy standing back and seeing a frame come together. I love what I do.

We’re looking for a good carpenter—or someone responsible enough to become one.

Experience is great. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn will get our attention too.

Steady work throughout Southeast Wisconsin. Pay based on experience.

A little before and after from this one.

Old wood deck out, composite decking and aluminum railing in — with the stairs rebuilt and every border and miter planned before the first cut.

The finished product is the easy part to see. The planning is what makes it look that way.

A week ago, this was a pile of old deck boards and a pretty long to-do list.

It’s getting hard to remember it that way.

Well, that was a short weekend.

Wrapped one up Saturday. Opened this one up Monday.

Some rot came with it at no additional charge.

Apparently the deck had a few surprises left in it.

We finished this one with the part that matters still ahead of it.

The chairs come out. Dinner runs a little late. Somebody stays for one more drink.

Eventually, nobody talks about the deck.

They just remember what happened on it.
