Out doing a few quick bids for an interior remodel up here on Lake Tawakoni, just down the road from my house, when I noticed a neighbor’s pipe fence had been driven through and completely destroyed. Doing what I usually do, I pulled up to offer to set up a temporary fence while she waits on the insurance adjuster.
Unfortunately, there’s a heavy ending to this story. I came to find out this was the crash site where Corey Tacker passed away. I knew Corey for years—he leaves behind four little ones. He was a great example of someone who really turned things around and got it right. Gone way too young. Don’t worry, bonehead, I’m cleaning up your mess.
The moral of the story: Never be too good to stop and help a neighbor or anyone in need
