As the end of the year approaches so does the end of our employee meet-and-greet roster! We are down to only a handful left and we hope you’ve enjoyed reading them as much as we’ve enjoyed writing them. To usher you into Fall, we present Michelmann’s September get to know employee; Doug Johnson!

Doug is one of our longest serving shop employees at an astounding 23 years with Michelmann. Having previously served as our shop superintendent, he now embodies the phrase “jack of all trades”. Doug works on anything and everything in the shop and almost always has the solution when something unique comes along. Doug’s experience in the industry is a treasure to the company and his co-workers, and he has been a joy to work with the last two decades.

Doug’s favorite part about working here is the variety of work that Michelmann does as well as the laid-back work environment.

Doug is a busy man in his free time. He spends it fishing, hunting, cooking, riding ATVs with his grand kids, and working around the house. He has raises chickens and has a yellow Labrador as well. Doug has 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild!

Please join all of us in thanking Doug for his amazing service to Michelmann Steel!
