Did you know Snake Plants can actually produce fruit and seeds? 🌿🍊
Sansevieria blooms are rare indoors, but getting them pollinated to produce fruit is next-level! Here is the full process of harvesting and setting up a Snake Plant seed for germination:
1. Wait for Ripeness: Let the berry turn a bright orange before harvesting.
2. Clean the Seed: Gently peel away the fruit pulp so only the clean seed remains.
3. Prep the Medium: Fill a small container with vermiculite to hold moisture without suffocating the seed.
4. Plant: Lightly press the seed into the medium and cover it gently.
5. Create a Dome: Seal the container with a lid to lock in heat and humidity, then set it in bright, indirect light.
Now the hard part: waiting several weeks for it to sprout! ⏳
