Shope Concrete is a Pacific Northwest manufacturer and wholesale distributor of concrete pipe, manholes, catch basins, and other related concrete products. We provide local, state, federal, and regional contractors products and solutions for underground infrastructures in residential and urban communities, businesses, streets, roads, and freeways.
Perform a wide range of duties to safely and efficiently produce precast concrete products of the highest quality standards.

Job Duties
• Participation in Safety and safety activities required
• Demold, cleaning and prepping on polymer concrete molds
• Performs necessary daily inspections and preventative maintenance on production line
• Handling of hardware, fiberglass and materials used in polymer concrete manufacturing
• Handling aluminum, fiberglass, and steel molds
• Maintains good housekeeping and safety regulations in an indoor and outdoor manufacturing plant setting
• Regular work attendance required
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Education / Experience
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Concrete knowledge is preferred
• Crane operation and forklift driving experience preferred

Knowledge / Skills / Ability
• Able to speak and comprehend English
• Operational knowledge of tools/machinery generally used in construction
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, multiplication)
• Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Work Environment
• This job involves the following physical demands Walking, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items
• Lifting requirements are generally up to 40 pounds
• Standing for long periods of time

We are hiring product delivery drivers to deliver concrete products to various local locations. Drivers must provide great customer service while delivering loads of concrete to our customers.

• Pre-inspection of truck
• Load truck with materials
• Verify load for accuracy
• Unload truck at site – this involves using truck mounted boom
• Keep log book up to date at all times
• Inspect site to ensure safe environment to unload
• Confirm support person on ground level to assure safe unloading (if necessary)
• Communicate regularly with Dispatcher to ensure timely product delivery at job site
• Communicate potential on-site hazards to branch management
• Set up job perimeters
• Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of concrete products to our customers.
• Responsible for maintaining the proper speed, following distance, and must be aware hazards (defensive driving).
• Thorough DOT Pre and Post trip Inspections which include raising and lowering of the hood.
• Maintain driver logs and time-cards within the DOT guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Truck Driver must have a valid Class A or B commercial drivers permit or license.
• Truck Driver record must not contain any reckless driving offenses, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI's, etc.
• Be able to communicate effectively with customers and Dispatch, while representing the company in a professional manner.
• Ability to work from elevated platforms as well as climbing ladders, climbing in and out of the truck, and lifting up to 50lbs.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Successful driver candidates must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
