3 years of Luminz Electric. ⚡️

It’s honestly crazy to look back at how much has happened in three years.

There have been long days, stressful seasons, mistakes, wins, hard lessons, great customers, great relationships, and a lot of moments where we had to just keep pushing forward.

We’ve grown a lot since the beginning, but one thing I’m proud of is that the goal has stayed simple.

Take care of people. Do good work. Stand behind what we do. Build something we can be proud of.

I’m extremely grateful for every customer who trusted us, every contractor who gave us an opportunity, every employee who has put in the work, and every friend and family member who has supported Luminz along the way.

Above everything, I thank God for carrying us through the hard seasons, opening doors, and continuing to give us opportunities to grow.

3 years in and still building.

We recently added a boom truck to our fleet, giving us more capability for parking lot lights, pole lighting, exterior building lighting, signage, and other elevated electrical work.

Owning the right equipment helps us work more efficiently, respond faster, and keep more of the job in-house.

Another step forward for Luminz Electric.

Peace of mind is our business.

Another serious backup power system wrapped up in West End Tacoma ⚡️

This customer is now set up with nearly 60 kWh of battery backup, solar integration, smart monitoring, and the ability to keep their home powered when it matters most.

And honestly, this is where home power is headed.

These systems are not just for outages anymore. They’re about control.

You can run your home off stored battery power during peak utility hours, recharge when rates are lower, store solar power during the day, and use that power later instead of constantly pulling from the grid.

That means more peace of mind, more energy independence, and a real return over time.

This setup can help support:

✅ EV car chargers
✅ Heavy household loads
✅ Essential circuits
✅ Nearly whole-home backup
✅ Solar-stored power
✅ Smart app monitoring
✅ Backup power during outages

And when you pair batteries with solar and generator backup, you can build a system that keeps working long after the grid goes down.

Power outage? No problem.
Peak rates? Use stored power.
Want to rely less on the utility? This is how you start.

For homeowners looking to go even further, systems like this can be designed to get extremely close to off-grid living — or fully off-grid depending on the setup, solar production, generator backup, and energy usage.

Backup power is not just a luxury anymore. It’s protection, savings, and freedom built into your home.

Backup power. Energy savings. More independence.

I don’t think there’s any way to explain what it does to a father watching his little girl suffer and not being able to fix it.

Our first daughter went through things no baby should ever have to go through. Surgeries, paralytics, swelling, shots and pokes every day, tubes, hoses, breathing machines, and days where all we could do was sit beside her, pray, and hope.

I remember looking at her and wishing I could take it all from her.

Every needle.
Every machine.
Every hard breath.
Every ounce of pain.

But I couldn’t.

All I could do was love her, pray over her, fight for her, and be her dad for as long as God allowed me to.

And then we lost her.

There’s a kind of pain that changes you permanently. Losing a child does that. It changes how you see life, how you see faith, how you see being a father, and how tightly you hold the people still in front of you.

Then, a week after she passed, we found out my wife was pregnant.

I don’t even know how to fully explain that season. We were grieving one daughter while trying to understand that another life was already beginning. Pain and hope were somehow happening at the same time.

Since then, God has blessed us with two more daughters.

They don’t replace her. Nothing could.

But they remind me that God can still bring life after loss. He can still bring light into places that felt completely dark. He can still write chapters we never saw coming.

This Father’s Day, I’m thankful for the daughters I get to hold, and the father I still have running around on my jobsites! And my father in heaven.

Fatherhood has taught me that love doesn’t end at goodbye.

It has taught me that children are not promised to us, they are entrusted to us.

It has taught me that grief and gratitude can live in the same heart at the same time.

2 x 200 amp services and power wall set up in 1 day.
Mind you it was nearly 100 degrees and those batteries are 140 pounds each. 🥵🔥 Cut it close but got done just in time for traffic. 😎 Give Luminz a jingle.

Reviews like this make the long days worth it.

Thanks for trusting us with your CNC shop project. We’re glad we could keep the machines powered and the stress level slightly below “industrial meltdown.”
