Tom Forman and Robert Warner recently attended a Mike Holt Training Conference in Orlando, Florida, and are now officially Certified Mike Holt Instructors!

They’re excited to bring the knowledge, techniques, and valuable lessons gained from the conference back to Beckstrom Electric to help strengthen, improve, and grow our apprenticeship program.

Investing in our instructors means investing in the next generation of electricians. We’re proud to have Tom and Robert leading the way and continuing to raise the bar for electrical education at Beckstrom Electric.

🎉 Exciting News for Beckstrom Electric! 🎉

Beckstrom Electric is proud to announce that we have been awarded another opportunity to partner with Fairfax County Public Schools and Hess Construction Company on the new Dunn Loring Elementary School project!

The new four-story elementary school will help address overcrowding and support the growing student population in the Dunn Loring, Falls Church, and Tysons communities. The school will be constructed on the site of the current Dunn Loring Administrative Center, which will be replaced with this state-of-the-art educational facility.

With an anticipated completion date of June 2028, we are honored to play a role in creating a modern learning environment that will serve students and families for generations to come.

Sometimes the smallest superheroes face the biggest battles. ❤️💙

On July 11, Team Beckstrom Electric had the incredible privilege of partnering with the Roc Solid Foundation to build a backyard playset for 18-month-old Zander and his family.
At just 9 weeks old, Zander was diagnosed with leukemia and immediately began treatment. His journey has included hospital stays, procedures, chemotherapy, and challenges that no child or family should ever have to face. Yet through it all, Zander has shown extraordinary strength, courage, and resilience.

Thanks to the Roc Solid Foundation's mission of creating moments of hope for families fighting pediatric cancer, Zander now has a special place to do what every child deserves the chance to do—play, explore, laugh, and simply be a kid.

We are honored to have spent the day building more than a playset. Together, we built memories, smiles, and a space where SuperZan can continue making childhood adventures with his family.

Thank you to Roc Solid Foundation for the opportunity to serve, and thank you to Zander's family for allowing us to be a small part of your story.

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month—a reminder that strength isn’t just about pushing through, it’s about speaking up.
Thursday at our 2nd Annual Wellness Fair, we had the opportunity to hear from Zeke Smith, who traveled all the way from Texas to lead an incredibly important conversation focused on mental health in the construction industry. A field known for toughness, resilience, and grit, but one that too often encourages silence when it matters most.
Zeke’s message was clear: we have to normalize the conversation.�Checking in, opening up, and creating space for honesty can save lives.
But awareness alone isn’t enough.
Organizations have a responsibility to go beyond talking about mental health and take real action:
- Providing access to counseling and mental health resources
- Creating support groups and safe spaces for employees
- Training leaders to recognize signs and respond with empathy
- Building a culture where asking for help is seen as strength, not weakness�
In construction especially, where long hours, physical demands, and high-pressure environments are the norm, these efforts are critical.
Grateful for speakers like Zeke Smith who challenge us to think differently—and for the opportunity to continue building a workplace where our people are supported, both on and off the job site.
