Happy book birthday to All the Water on Earth! 🌊
This book is an adaptation of Rochelle Strauss’s bestseller One Well, beautifully illustrated by our Madelyn Goodnight to reach a new generation of young readers.
Published by Kids Can Press, this book celebrates our most precious resource with easy-to-understand explanations of the water cycle, who needs water and what it’s used for, as well as today’s environmental concerns. An inspiration for all!

What luck! Luna Picks a Lucky Dumpling, written by Natasha Kim and joyfully illustrated by Violet Kim, publishes today by Charlesbridge! This third book in the series is packed with all the good stuff: yummy characters, fun quests, math-filled storytelling, and a happy ending. All of it is wrapped—like a delicious lucky dumpling—into a sweet story celebrating one of China’s traditional holidays: the Dragon Boat Festival.

This magical illustration by Sebas Serra, created for Una llegenda de Sant Jordi (A Legend of Saint George) by Joan Portell Rifa and published by Andana Editorial, captures the final moment of the legend: a brave knight saves a town—and its princess—from a terrifying dragon. ”After a fierce struggle, the knight managed to kill him. And from the blood of the beast a rosebush filled with red roses was born.”

Every April 23 in Catalonia, people celebrate by exchanging roses and books with loved ones. A day for bravery, roses, and stories—Happy Sant Jordi!

Today we celebrate our dear planet Earth with these sweet pieces by Christine Davenier, created with the same dedication, patience, and love that her character shows while caring for his little tree.

For more trees, and more books.

Today is the Spring Equinox—a perfectly balanced moment between light and dark. It’s a wonderful time to notice the small changes all around us and to catch glimpses of little rabbits, like the beautiful one created by our Violet Kim, hopping around and nibbling on our precious flowers.
Enjoy the day, and happy spring! 🐰🌷

We love this TBT to Boxes for Katje by Candace Fleming, illustrated by Stacey Dressen McQueen and published by Melanie Kroupa Books/FSG. This beautiful story about kids helping kids during WWII, inspired by true events, was Stacey’s debut picture book and a PW Flying Start. Published in 2003 and still one of our favorites. 💕
