If your main line isn’t sized correctly, it can run full for too long—leaving your field looking wet because the water can’t move out fast enough. Properly sized mains are key to handling water flow without getting overloaded.

These outlets are a great example of a system working the way it should—moving water efficiently and keeping the field in good shape after a 4 inch rain. Two days later this field was already dry and the main was flowing less. Inappropriately sized mains run for weeks, creating more long term issues.

We rely on multiple design resources, and in this case, all pointed to 10”–12” mains for the right capacity.

Not sure if your system is sized correctly? We’re happy to take a look - just call Brian at 641-330-3130

He is risen—and so is the start of a new season. ✝️🌷

This Easter, we’re reminded that even after the longest winters, new life and fresh beginnings are always possible through Him. We’re grateful for the blessings of faith, family, and the opportunity to do the work we love each day.

Wishing you and your family a joyful and hope-filled Easter.
Hoppy Easter from Jestrab Excavating family! 🐰🚜

Always fun to see the tile moving water just minutes after installation.

Side note, there was an existing tile just 35 ft from this install.

Flags picked up, tile going in, and lessons being learned along the way!

Busy week locating existing tile. Found some plugged up tile from grass roots as well. Plow will be on the move soon!

Spring thaw is already showing us what we expected… the wet spots are back. 🌧️

As the snow melts and frost comes out of the ground, it becomes easy to see where water is sitting in your fields — and those spots can cost you yield every single year.

With our drone mapping and satellite imagery technology, we can quickly identify drainage problems and design a tile plan that fixes the issue — not just guess at it.

If you’re seeing water standing in your fields right now, this is the best time to address it.
✔️ Drone field mapping
✔️ Custom tile layout
✔️ Professional tile installation

Let's get you scheduled for spring or fall
📞 Message us or call Brian at 641-330-3130 to get on the schedule before planting season.

Don’t let another year of yield get drowned out. 🌽
