Remember the tub and shower curtain from Monday? Here’s what it turned into.

Most people put up with their bathroom for years. They work around the cramped tub, the missing storage, and the pedestal sink. Then they finally see what’s possible and wonder why they waited so long.

This is the finished bathroom. A walk-in shower with charcoal tile, a glass panel, and a rainfall shower head. A lit niche glowing along the back wall. A floating vanity with a backlit mirror above it. Built-in shelving down the walls, so there’s finally room for everything. Same window. Same room. A completely different bathroom.

Fall is the sweet spot for a bathroom remodel. Get on the schedule now and walk into a bathroom like this before the holidays.

Capitol Construction handles bathroom remodeling across Louisville, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Middletown, and surrounding communities. Licensed, insured, 4.9-star rated, and a 5-year workmanship warranty on every project.

If your bathroom is next, now is the time. Give us a call or send us a message.

Monday we showed you the studs. Today it starts to look like a bathroom again.

The hardest part of living with an outdated bathroom isn’t the look. It’s the daily grind. Bottles lined up on the tub ledge. Nowhere to put anything. A shower that feels like an afterthought in a room you use every single day.

So here’s what went back in. New drywall went up. Large-format tile went down on the floor. Then the shower came together. Big charcoal tile on the walls. A recessed niche running the full width of the shower, so every bottle finally has a home. A hexagon mosaic tile floor. And the window stays right where it was, bringing natural light into the shower. Friday, you get the full reveal.

Fall is the sweet spot for a bathroom remodel. Book now and you’re done before the holidays.

Capitol Construction handles bathroom remodeling across Louisville, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Middletown, and surrounding communities. Licensed, insured, 4.9-star rated, and a 5-year workmanship warranty on every project.

Some bathrooms need a refresh. This one needed a fresh start.

You know the bathroom. The tub you squeeze around every morning. The shower curtain that never stays put. The pedestal sink with nowhere to set anything down. It works, but it isn’t working for you.

Here’s where one of our Louisville bathroom remodels started. A tub and shower curtain under the window. White wall tile wainscot. A pedestal sink and not much else. So our crew took it all the way down to the studs. Walls open. Floor down to the subfloor. A clean slate for something completely new. Wednesday, we’ll show you what went back in.

Fall is the sweet spot for a bathroom remodel. Get on the schedule now and you’re enjoying the new space before the holidays fill your house with guests.

That bathroom you keep apologizing for when guests come over?

Let's fix that. 💪

A tired bathroom wears on you. Cracked grout you can never get clean. A cramped shower. A vanity with no counter space. It's the first room you see in the morning and the last one at night.

Here are three bathrooms from three different homes. A walk-in shower with frameless glass, a built-in niche, and a mosaic tile floor. A blue shaker vanity with a white marble look top and a round mirror. A tan tile shower with sliding glass doors and a grab bar right where it's needed. Three different families. Three different styles. Same attention to detail on every one.

Fall is the sweet spot for a bathroom remodel. Get on the schedule now and it's done before the holidays fill your house with guests.

Capitol Construction handles bathroom remodeling across Louisville, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Middletown, Crestwood, Anchorage, La Grange, Simpsonville, Shelbyville, and surrounding communities. Licensed, insured, 4.9-star rated, and a 5-year workmanship warranty on every project.

That draft you keep feeling by the window is not your imagination.

Old windows are a slow bleed. Your heat runs constantly to keep up with cold air pouring in around every frame. Your energy bill goes up every month. And you spend the whole winter in a sweatshirt trying to enjoy your morning coffee.

This week our crew pulled the old second story windows on this Louisville home. One out. Then the next. Openings cleared and ready for the new ones to drop in.

Fall is the sweet spot for window replacement. Weather is still working with us. Your heating system is not fighting a losing battle yet. And you get ahead of winter instead of chasing it.

Capitol Construction handles window and door replacement across Louisville, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Middletown, and surrounding communities. Licensed, insured, 4.9-star rated, and a 5-year workmanship warranty on every project.

If your windows are on the list, now is the time. Give us a call or send us a message.

Remember this one? Here's the latest. 🔥

Back in August we took this two-story wraparound deck all the way down to the brick. Then came the posts, the main beams, and the joists.

Now the decking is down. A roof is framed overhead. The lighting is roughed in.

And the big one: the fireplace is in and framed.

We'll keep sharing updates as this build comes together.

Every project is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty. If a deck or outdoor space is on your list, give us a call!

From a standard tub and shower combo to this.

Deep navy subway tile with that handmade glass finish. White hexagon mosaic floor. Built-in niche. Floating bench seat. This Louisville condo bathroom is a completely different space than it was six weeks ago.

Here is what made this one interesting. Condo complex. Tight access through shared hallways. Elevator loads for every delivery. Noise rules, work hour windows, and neighbors on every wall. The kind of job most contractors turn down because the logistics are a headache.

We take those jobs because our clients deserve the same craftsmanship whether they are in a single family home or a third floor condo. No shortcuts. No disruption to the neighbors. Just a beautiful finished bathroom when the work is done.

Look outside for a second. Really look.

Your siding is streaked. Your fence has that green tint. Your deck is a couple shades darker than it should be. And it is only going to get worse over the winter.

The part of the job nobody posts about.

Before we swing a single hammer on this ADA bathroom remodel in Louisville, we did this. Full jobsite protection from the front door all the way through the foyer, down the hallway, and into the work zone. GuardiaPro surface protection taped down over the travertine, the hardwood, the existing tile. Every square foot the crew walks over is covered.

Why do we do it? Because this is not our house. It is yours. And when we leave for the day, when the demo dust settles, when the project is done, your home should look like nothing but the bathroom ever changed.

Prep work is not glamorous. It does not make a highlight reel. But it is the reason our clients trust us in their homes. And it is the reason we back every single project with a 5-year workmanship warranty.

Swipe to see the prep, and the demo that came after.

Capitol Construction handles ADA bathroom remodels, full bathroom renovations, kitchen remodels, and handyman services across Louisville, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Middletown, and surrounding communities. Licensed, insured, 4.9-star rated.
