Tonight is my last night on night shift. I'm super sad about it. So I decided to work one last overtime night with my team. Saturday will be my official last day. Out of all the departments that are opening a weekend shift and losing people, mine was the only department to do a going away party. It makes me even sadder to be leaving such an amazing group of people. All things considering, I am also excited to be starting a new chapter in this journey. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ I willingly closed the chapter to prepare for the next. P.S. that food just about took me out!!! Ate 2 plates and brought 2 more home! I'm still full this morning lol!

So this hatch we had a mystery chick just like the last hatch. Last hatch we ended up with an Ayam Cemani but it hatched from a maran egg. Solved that one. Now this time I had only Blue Lace Red Wyandottes and Mystic Marans in the incubators. Yet somehow we hatched this little one. We haven't had Ermine Ameraucana in over 2 months and eggs were only collected from the Blue Lace and Mystics. Soooooo who is this? Can't be Ermine bc the eggs are blue. There were no white eggs. I'm so confused lol!

You no longer have to look for their nest! I have a very specific skill in finding them! My feet! I promise that I can walk your yard and in 3 minutes find it! Sorry I haven't been on today. We did baby care then got ready to deliver the 55 chicks plus 20 mystic marans that just hatched. Then we decided why not take the day and drive all the way up there and back and enjoy the drive... So that's what we did. We decided to make a circle back up bc we wanted to go through Clifton. Beautiful area. It was a very much needed break from home. I'm always home when I'm not at work. I just needed away from here a little while. I only leave to go to the store on my days off. Part of the burn out is my work schedule. For almost 3 years I've worked from 4:30 PM to 3 AM. Last week I worked those normal 4 10s then Friday worked from 2 to 10:30 bc of the holiday. I work 2 to 10:30 this week then Monday I work 6 AM to 4:30 PM on day shift bc I'm switching to weekend shift so Friday through Sunday I work 6 AM to 6:30 PM. So I work 4 10s then 3 12s and my anxiety is high bc of it. But once I make it through the 7 days I'll be ok. I'm taking a big pay cut on top of that losing my lead position and shift differential to move to weekends but that's ok too. I sleep very little and stress a lot. It's getting better already just by taking today to be. I hope everyone has a blessed week. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling down lately. I'm not sure why but I really have the blues. I just had to sell almost 75 chicks for 100.00 Including meeting them half way. I didn't get my garden in, shift change, hot and humid and let's not talk about finances. I'm mentally and physically exhausted and for what? Being in debt for this? I'm finding no enjoyment in this lately. Maybe it's just me.
