“The sound of running water soothes the soul... And my dream was to have a waterfall next to my home so I could hear the flow from virtually every room. After many failed attempts by different companies and people that spanned several years, I was finally fortunate enough to meet Nick "The Pond King". He has earned this title by virtue of his amazing talent and was literally the ONLY person capable of bringing this concept to fruition. With a keen understanding of nature, art and landscape design, Nick Needham can create outdoor masterpieces for every setting.”

A small change can completely transform a space! 💦✨ What was once an ordinary corner of the yard is now a beautiful Spillway Bowl feature that adds movement, character, and a whole new reason to spend time outside.

Before and after transformations like this are our favorite because they show how even a simple water feature can make a big impact!

Third time’s the charm! This week we’re rebuilding a pondless waterfall that had already been through two previous versions—and unfortunately, the last one left these homeowners battling leaks, sediment buildup, and an algae nightmare.

We were given the opportunity to tear it down and rebuild it the right way with an updated reservoir design, better water management, and a completely refreshed look.

One of the coolest parts? We didn’t just throw everything away. We were able to repurpose some of their existing tiger rock and plants, blend them with beautiful new Superior Stone, and then plant around the finished waterfall to really bring the whole space together.

There’s something pretty satisfying about taking a water feature that had become a source of frustration and turning it back into something the homeowners can be excited about again.

Check out the transformation! 💦👑

🚨 The Inspector has arrived! 🚨

Word got out that we were making repairs, so naturally he had to stop by and make sure everything was up to his standards. 👀

A few laps around the waterfall...
A careful inspection...
One very serious look...

Looks like we're getting close to earning the official stamp of approval. 😂💦

We found the culprit. 🕵️‍♂️🐭💦 After performing a leak test, we were able to track the problem to a certain area. Once investigating that area, we found a rodent hole that had damaged the Pondless Waterfall.

This is exactly why leak tests are so important! Instead of guessing where the issue is, they help us pinpoint the source so we can make the right repair the first time. Catching problems early also helps prevent more extensive damage down the road.

The hole is getting repaired and we are taking extra precautions to ensure this doesn't occur again.

Think your water feature has a leak? Here's one place to start. 💦

Finding a leak isn't always as simple as spotting water on the ground. It takes a little investigating to narrow down where the problem is coming from before making the repair. We're walking you through part of our troubleshooting process and showing you what we look for when diagnosing an issue.

Back at a project from 2024... but this time for an unexpected reason. 🐀😢 Not every service call is because something was installed incorrectly. Sometimes Mother Nature has other plans.

A rodent decided to make itself at home beneath this Pondless Waterfall, causing damage that needed to be repaired before it became a bigger problem. The good news? We're here to get everything back in working order!

Follow along over the next few days as we show you the repair process from start to finish! 👀

A waterfall we built in 2024 suddenly started losing an alarming amount of water. After checking the usual problem areas, our team performed a sectional test and narrowed the leak down to one section of the waterfall.

When we dismantled it, a rodent actually scurried out from underneath a boulder. We found stored nuts, bedding material, and a massive hole chewed directly through the liner!

Thankfully, our testing process led us right to the problem so we could patch the liner and rebuild the waterfall. Great work by the entire team, especially Dave “The Stress Mitigator,” for handling the initial testing!

New pondless waterfall: Installed! ✅

The only thing left to do... Wait for The Inspector to stop by and give it his official approval. 🕵️‍♂️💦

What do you think? Does this one pass inspection? 😍
