It has been a busy last month for us here at Giles Outdoor Services with tearing out old asphalt driveways and pouring new concrete driveways!

WOW!
Transformation Thursday and what an incredible transformation it was!

We had the privilege to work with some awesome clients on completely transforming their old and outdated landscaping.

This project continued to grow and before we knew it we have new walls, a concrete apron, and an asphalt driveway!

We replaced their old rotted out timber retaining walls with new Winston county retaining walls, added some precast county steps, added in a couple beautiful flagstone landings, and finished everything off with some fresh rock. We tore out the existing concrete apron and poured back a new apron - without the speed bump going into the garage 😅 We finished with dirt, hydro seeding, and the new asphalt driveway!

Transformation Tuesday!

This new construction house went from weeds and gravel to landscaping, and a colored stamped patio!

These clients first had out us to do a front sidewalk and apron. They were beyond happy with the result and our quality of work that they had us back to tackle the rest of their landscaping!

Put the finishing touches on this project by pouring a new sidewalk, apron, and front patio and sealing the existing porch.

We came in and tore out all the existing plants and rock and had new concrete curb installed then finished off by installing new rock.

Sometimes it’s the small, simple details that make big impressions!

This has been a fun project working hand in hand with another awesome contractor! We wrapped up pouring all the concrete at this job earlier this summer.

They had us back to install the irrigation system, do the dirt work, and then finish up with hydro seeding everything!

Working with a clean slate on new construction builds is always fun!

We completed the first phase of this new build project last week by pouring this apron and sidewalk.

Next, we'll be back to pour a patio, along with completing some dirt work and hydroseeding!

We had the opportunity to work on this landscape tear out for some great customers in Credit River!

They had recently moved into this home and quickly realized they were encountering lots of “friends” 🐍 🐭. They also had overgrown plants and shrubs all over, and old outdated mulch as well.

She wanted a clean slate with nothing added to hopefully keep the critters away! We tore everything out, installed cafe natural stone edging, built a couple retaining walls out of county block, and finished everything off by spreading some granite rock!

(Not so) fun fact: We encountered over 30 snakes in the few days we were on this job! 😳

We gave this old worn out driveway a face lift!

Our customer reached out wanting a quote on a new apron as the old one had settled quite a bit! After an in person consultation, we were able to come to the conclusion that a brand new driveway was the way to go!

The sub base under the existing asphalt driveway was in horrible shape. We brought in loads of gravel to make sure this new driveway wasn’t going anywhere!

Check out this cool time-lapse of a barnwood plank stamped patio we did!

We used a 12 inch plank, and then wrapped the patio in a 15 inch plank and stained the border to finish this one off! Not only that, but we formed up the patio with a wood grain overhang and cantilevered look!!
