The stonework brings it all together.

At Gomes Lane on Mt. Hood, the fireplace stonework stretches through the two-story living space, with a closer look at the detail from upstairs. The same stone wraps the chimney outside, tying the interior to the exterior.

There’s still work to do around the firebox and hearth, but you can already see the warmth this adds to the home.

A few big changes happening at our Prineville, Oregon custom home, and some of them are the kind you notice before you even walk through the front door.

The exterior is coming together with siding continuing around the home, the covered entry taking shape, and the deck stairs now in place.
Inside, custom cabinetry is being installed, including a beautiful built-in bedroom feature that's already giving us a good idea of how the finished space will look.

And outside, fresh asphalt is going down, bringing this property another step closer to completion.

There's still work to be done, but it's pretty fun seeing all these pieces come together.

The exterior siding is wrapping around the home now, and the combination of horizontal siding, larger architectural panels, warm wood soffits, black windows, and those long rooflines is finally coming together the way it was drawn.

Not too long ago, much of this was still house wrap. Now we’re getting full elevations of siding, finished transitions around the windows, and a much better look at how all of the exterior materials work together.

Every week, a little less imagining required.

For now, the scaffolding has the best seat in the house.

A look inside Gomes Lane, our custom home on Mt. Hood. From the tall windows in the main living space to the glass following the sloped ceilings upstairs, each level gives you a different perspective on the trees.

In the kitchen, light wood cabinetry is in place, adding warmth alongside the cream walls and black window frames.

There’s plenty left to finish, but you can already see what makes this home worth building here.

It’s getting easier to picture a slow morning at Gomes Lane.

The kitchen cabinets are in, the fireplace stonework is underway, and siding is going up outside. The warm wood and stone are giving this Mt. Hood home the mountain character we’ve been looking forward to seeing.

Coffee in the kitchen, a fire going, and nowhere to be. We can see it.

Siding is making its way around our Prineville, Oregon custom home, and now you can really see the mix of materials that was planned from the beginning. Horizontal siding, larger panels with clean reveals, warm wood soffits, and black-framed windows all work together without asking any one detail to do too much.

There’s still plenty of jobsite left in these photos, but the architecture is starting to come through.

This is the stage where the drawings start looking a whole lot more like the house.
