I am posting the last major project of the season, a Chilton flagstone patio for a great client in Princeton. Sully was my partner on this one, and he was superb. His eye for the right stone for a given spot, his strength and agility with large, very heavy stones, and attention to detail made the project flow. This project was exceedingly difficult because so much of the stone was the thickness of wall stone and not that of flagstone. The colors in the flagstone really match up with the siding. Lots of eye appeal with this project!

Wish I had taken "before" pictures of these two areas. It was satisfying to clean up these two weedy problem areas and produce a clean, calming aspect next to the house. A real team effort with the entire crew contributing. Very gratifying to help out a great, longtime client!

Just completed a rebuild of a 25 foot failed section of a limestone wall for a really great couple (he and I were at Ripon College together) over on Sugar Loaf. It was composed of random wall stone as opposed to cut wall stone, and random poses a number of challenges absent when using cut wall stone. As usual, Callista and Sully really stepped up and performed outstanding work within very tight quarters.

I neglected to take before pictures, but the two photos of the debris generated by the tear out should help one visualize our starting point on this project. Callista got us started by working one hot, muggy weekend on the tear out, and accomplishing so much. That really helped Sully and I move forward with the project over the last three days. The heat and humidity really challenged us, but we are pleased to have wrapped things up today. Many thanks to the lovely folks at St Peter Episcopal church for entrusting the work to us, and to always being so supportive and appreciative. Such a pleasure to toil for them!

Installation of 72 inch wide 6 inch thick limestone steps. Huge shout out to Jay from Cutting Edge for surgeon like touch with the loader and forks! Another shout out to Sully for always having my back and providing insight when problems arise! The Force was with us as the steps fit ever so snugly under the door trim!! Nancy and Matt have been a joy to work for and with on their major landscaping project!!

The cobblestone wall is in! Challenging but enjoyable to construct a wall out of stones that had previously been randomly embedded in this hillside. Glad to finally finish this up for a lovely couple who are also friends of ours.

The prep work and base layer are in progress as we reconstruct a cobblestone wall that we tore apart last fall to make way for a new garage to be built. This is the same venue as the brick walkway we showcased last week. Big shout out to Jay from Cutting Edge for masterfully hauling in the larger base stones with his skid loader in extremely tight quarters. He is a master!!

Just a tip of the hat to Sully and Cal! They have spread 134 yards of mulch this spring one wheelbarrow at a time. With 8 wheelies per yard, that comes to 1072 wheelbarrows worth. So glad they are the faces of DeCramer Landscaping!!
