The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control today confirmed that Minnesota businesses received products containing jalapeños that have been recalled due to Salmonella contamination.

As of today, Freshness Guaranteed-brand mild and spicy pico de gallo products sold at Walmart stores are the only Minnesota products on the Taylor Fresh Foods recall from Citrus Coast Distributors of Sinaloa, Mexico. Specific stores that received recalled product are not known at this time.

Consumers, restaurants, and retailers should not eat, sell, or serve recalled products.

After helping show some sweet Windland Flats Highland heifers at the Mille Lacs County Fair 2026, I harvested 26 pounds of tomatoes and some basil. Spaghetti sauce canned before bed tonight!
