It is hard to believe that we are past the half way point of the semester. Weather is warming up and students are getting excited for graduation. From the job opportunities that have been shared over the past few months, there should be plenty of opportunity for the new graduates to get employment.

The Maine Gov and new National Administration are pushing new opportunities for Wind so opportunities should be expanding in the near future. Please advise others that the new NMCC WPT program year starts in August. We have openings for students and there are grants and scholarships available.

NMCC WPT classes will start next Monday, 1/11/21, as on-line for the first couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to a great semester even with the COVID19 restrictions in place. In-person classes will start 1/25/21 so we can get into the lab and hands-on activities. Looking forward to seeing students again.

Good morning. Some of you have asked about an AS degree option for the WPT prgram so you can move ahead in your careers faster. NMCC has an AS in Career Studies that we can help you along with your careers. The AS in Career Studies uses the WPT Certificate as a start and then moves you through a few more tech electives along with the general education requirements for the AS degree.
Any questions, you may contact me or get with Wendy Bradstreet in the NMCC Admissions office to apply for the AS program.

Good morning. NMCC Wind Power classes will begin on August 31. I'm so glad we can get back into the classroom and lab even with the new restrictions for Covid19 in place for the semester.

I look forward to the new group. It will be another great year of hands on learning and classroom discussions.

Another great year is coming to a close for the Wind Power Students. Graduation is this coming Saturday (11 May). A quick survey of the students yesterday sounds like everyone will have jobs before graduation. If not within a few weeks after graduation for finalizing paperwork. Congratulations to each of them for their hard work throughout the year.
