Closed Cell Sprayfoam- In a basement, it’s commonly sprayed directly against concrete or masonry foundation walls. At roughly R-6 to R-7 per inch depending on the product, 2–3 inches gives a substantial thermal improvement while also stopping air movement. Because closed-cell foam has very low v***r permeance at sufficient thickness, it also limits inward moisture migration from concrete much better than fiberglass.
