Days 3&4- had my son for a part of one of these days. The work completed over these 2 days was- assembled/installed/trimmed the island cabinets, installed the rough top/sink, worked the plumbing into the sink cabinet, custom made some shelves because all of these companies think 1/2 shelves are ok, worked the island electrical/added side outlets, removed the old/installed a new slim microwave, changed out all of the recessed light trims with new LED trims, and did some other detail odds/ends.

I’m going to be taking a little bit of time off of this project, to allow the homeowners to paint the walls, and for the counters to start their production.

Time to finally start putting up my Halloween decorations!

Day 1- I had my son with me for the first half of the day, but the rest of this long day was just me. These are before, during, and after photos from day 1.

The baseboards were removed, old laminate flooring taken out, some masking done in the kitchen, kitchen island removed, and the kitchen floor tile was demolished. There’s still some tile to demo at the entryway.

I was surprised, in Granville, that this tile was so dang hard to remove. Definitely not expected!

This project will consist of new flooring in about 1/3rd of the house (yes, it’s a huge Granville house), a completely new island that will be larger and in a better orientation, and new kitchen countertops throughout.

The homeowners are doing some great upgrades so they can get this massive house on the market next year!

3 days, and this project is complete! The full counter to ceiling tiled walls around the vanity makes such a dramatic difference!

I had to add the photo of the doggies that would watch me run and back and forth throughout these work days!

Day 1- before, during, & after today’s progress.

I was able to protect the flooring/cabinets, removed the medicine cabinet mirrors, demo’d the small amount of backsplash that was on this vanity, mudded the wall to smooth from the demo, and started installing the new tile (the new tile will end up going all the way to the ceiling)!

It was a good start to the first day, as this is going to be a quick project.

5 days, and this project is complete, and was finished before the Pope’s got back home from vacation!

My son helped me on the first, and last, days, but in between those days, it was me alone.

There were a couple long days for me, and some hurdles, but in the end, it all came out great!

There will be one more phase to the Pope’s flooring projects, and then it will all be done.

At this point, I have remodeled both of their bathrooms, their kitchen, fireplace, a whole house water softener, garage electrical work, painting, and 66% of their floors!

I really do appreciate my return clients!

Day 3- another solo tile day 😣. I was able to finish setting all of the tiles in all 3 areas.

The master closet was a bit tricky with the angles on top of angles!

Day 2- solo tile day! I made some good progress on setting the tile in each of the 3 rooms!
