Willard's Restoration When your property has a bad day, our local team makes the days ahead easier. Water, Fire, Mold & Storm.

Growing up, we got to see Dad make a successful company from nothing - what an accomplishment! There was deep pride in what he did and honestly, his cleaning service shaped where we are today. Now, we, his daughter & son in law, are keeping Dad’s legacy alive by starting our own restoration business. We had the privilege of being around of some of his business and our kids got to see Poppy in his element first hand. Now, it’s pretty wild watching our kids around the sites and smells that his daughters grew up on; hopefully they’ll grow up with the same fond memories of an ole restoration service that make up some of who they are. It’s a heavy weight and an honor to continue dad’s legacy with something that he gave his all at. If you need help with water, fire, or mold damge, we’d love to serve you.

We promise, we didn't pay Matthew to say this. 👀

But we're certainly glad he did!

From the first phone call to the onsite mold inspection, Matthew highlighted something we work hard to make part of every customer experience: **clear communication, thorough assessments, and people who genuinely want to help.**

Because when you're concerned about mold in your home, the last thing you need is more confusion.

You deserve to understand what we're looking for, what we find, and what it means for your property.

No unnecessary scare tactics. No making you feel silly for asking questions. Just honest assessments and knowledgeable people who take the time to explain.

Matthew, thank you for trusting our team and taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate you!

And to our fellow Upstate homeowners: you don't have to know all the answers before you call us. That's what we're here for. 💙

Well, that escalated beautifully. 👀🔨

From drying equipment and exposed walls to a bathroom we'd happily spend a little extra time in. 😍

When property damage happens, most people think about the cleanup. The fans. The demolition. The drying.

But what happens after all that?

That's where the *restoration* part of Willard's Restoration comes in.

Our team doesn't just focus on addressing the damage. We also have the expertise and capabilities to help put your space back together.

And as you can see, sometimes that means a pretty incredible transformation along the way.

Because while the before-and-after pictures are satisfying (seriously, look at that shower 👀), there's a lot of important work that happens between those two photos.

The goal isn't just to make your property look good again. It's to make sure the work behind the finished product is done right, too.

From mitigation to reconstruction, we're proud of what our team can accomplish.

And we're especially grateful for the homeowners who trust us with their spaces along the way.

So, what do we think of this transformation? We're giving that shower a solid 10/10. 🚿

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TOOLS ON A WATER-RESTORATION PROJECT ISN’T THE LARGEST OR LOUDEST.

It’s the moisture meter. 💧

A moisture meter helps restoration professionals identify elevated moisture, map the affected area, compare affected and unaffected materials, and document drying progress throughout a project.

It also helps answer an important question: When is the structure actually dry?

There is no universal moisture reading—or predetermined number of drying days—that works for every loss. Drying goals depend on several factors, including:

• The material being evaluated
• The property’s temperature and humidity
• Readings from comparable unaffected materials
• Environmental and seasonal conditions
• Whether readings are stable and progressing appropriately

Drywall, wood, concrete, cabinetry, and flooring do not hold or release moisture in the same way. Building materials also naturally contain some moisture, so the goal is not to achieve a reading of zero.

The goal is to return affected materials to an appropriate moisture level for that material and environment.

At Willard’s Restoration, drying decisions are guided by documented conditions and moisture readings—not assumptions, touch tests, or an arbitrary number of days.

If you own or manage property in the Upstate, contact our team after a leak or water loss for a professional moisture assessment and a data-supported plan forward.

We see you, guys. 👀

It’s been a pretty exciting couple of weeks for two of the Clemson athletes we’re proud to support.

🏈 Tait Reynolds is 2–0 through his first two starts at quarterback.

🏈 Will Heldt has been making an impact on the other side of the ball — and was recently named a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy.

Now Clemson is headed back to Death Valley for a big Saturday night matchup against Miami.

We’re proud to support Tait, Will, and Clemson Athletics through being a Small Business Partner of the Clemson Tigers™ — and even more excited to cheer these guys on throughout the season.

Good luck Saturday. We’ll be watching. 👀

That means our customers aren’t simply job numbers or pins on a map. They’re our neighbors, fellow business owners, families we may see at the grocery store, and people who will probably know someone we know—because that’s how the Upstate works. 😅

Willard’s Restoration serves Greenville, Easley, Piedmont, Powdersville, Simpsonville, Mauldin, Greer, the surrounding lake communities, and other areas throughout the Upstate.

Being local also means understanding our area—from summer humidity and sudden storms to the occasional weather forecast that changes before we finish reading it.

Most importantly, it means our reputation lives where we do. Every inspection, conversation, and restoration project reflects the name our family and team carry throughout this community.

When your property has a bad day, you deserve help from people who know the area, care about the outcome, and will still be here after the equipment is gone.

What part of the Upstate do you call home? Tell us in the comments—and save our number before you need it.

One of the most confusing moments in an insurance claim is when the restoration contractor’s estimate doesn’t match the insurance company’s estimate.

Naturally, someone must be wrong…right?

Not necessarily.

Both estimates may even be written using Xactimate, the estimating software commonly used throughout the restoration and insurance industries. The difference is often less about the price of each item and more about the scope of work included.

One estimate may account for:

• Damage the other inspection didn’t identify
• Additional measurements
• Hidden damage discovered during demolition
• Building-code requirements
• Different repair methods
• Materials that cannot be repaired or matched

In other words, the real question may not be, “Why does this cost more?” It may be, “What necessary work is included in one estimate but missing from the other?”

Willard’s Restoration cannot make coverage decisions, but our team can document the damage, explain the repairs your property requires, and communicate that information clearly to everyone involved.

If you’re looking at two estimates that appear to be describing two completely different houses, call us. We’ll help you understand the restoration scope and the questions you should be asking.

Big week for #15. 👏🏈

After recording two sacks for the second straight game, Will Heldt was named ACC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week — and the recognition didn't stop there.

This week, Will was also named a semifinalist for the 2026 William V. Campbell Trophy, recognizing the nation's top football scholar-athletes for their performance on the field, academic success and leadership.

We're proud to support Will this season through the Clemson Small Business Partner Program and excited to celebrate a week like this with him.

Congratulations, Will — and good luck tonight in California!

Sometimes a bathroom decides to renovate itself.

Unfortunately, it rarely chooses a convenient time.

A backup caused water damage in this bathroom, requiring proper cleanup, removal of affected materials, drying, and reconstruction.

Our team handled the process from the initial water damage through the finished repairs, restoring the space safely and completely—not simply covering up what happened and hoping for the best.

Bathroom backups and overflows can affect flooring, walls, and nearby rooms quickly. If one happens in your home, keep children and pets away from the affected area and call a restoration professional as soon as possible.

Andy said it, not us. 👀

“Add this company to your contacts.”

We’re not going to argue with him.

There’s a lot we love about this review, but what means the most is knowing our customers feel the difference: the resources and expertise to handle the hard stuff, with the care and familiarity you expect from a local company.

Thanks for trusting our team, Andy. We’re grateful we got to be there when you needed us.

📲 Might as well take Andy’s advice and save our number now. You know… just in case.

A big weekend ahead for #2. 🏈

Tomorrow, Tait Reynolds will make his first career start at quarterback — becoming the earliest freshman to start at QB for Clemson in more than 50 years.

We’re proud to support Tait this season through being a Clemson Small Business Partner and excited to see him get this opportunity.

Wishing you a great first start, Tait!
