We used this awesome sleeper system called Outdure for decks over low pitch roofs. It replaces the PT sleepers which twist and turn every which way- and are prone to wander around unpredictably after a short spell.
This system uses aluminum channels with micro-adjusting proprietary ribbed shims which are screwed to the sleepers.
There were three large format terraces on this project and we were very impressed with the thoughtfulness and quality of the system and ease of installation.
The railing is to receive blackened SS meshy panels which are on order.

Last of the dormers completed at the rear of the Bedford residence today. 100% French tin. The owners wanted a color sympathetic to the Vermont black slate roof and rejected lead coated copper. Considering we use well water, this was an intelligent pivot to another material. We now know more about the toxic effects of lead, and it should be avoided in the home.
