Rich and Marjorie Gaines were dedicated members of the North Kitsap community and proud graduates of North Kitsap High School. Rich deeply valued the importance of skilled trades, and Marjorie often expressed that she wished she had pursued nursing, confident she would have excelled in the profession.

To honor and continue their legacy in Poulsbo, we are pleased to offer two scholarships to members of the NKHS Class of 2026. One scholarship will support a student planning to attend a trade school or enter a skilled trade immediately after graduation. The second scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a career in healthcare.

To apply, please email [email protected] by February 1, 2026, and include a one-paragraph response to each of the following prompts:
1. Please describe your financial need and intended use of this scholarship.
