Did you know the beautiful Schuylkill Haven Demonstration Garden is cared for and maintained by volunteers from the Penn State Extension Master Gardener program?
🧑🌾Master Gardeners from Penn State Extension plan, plant, maintain, and continuously improve the garden as part of their ongoing training and service to the community. The garden serves as a living classroom, where research-based gardening practices are demonstrated and shared with the public.
👩🌾Being a Master Gardener is truly hands-on learning. Volunteers gain knowledge about plants, soils, pollinators, sustainable gardening, and more—while working together to create a space that educates and inspires visitors.
If you enjoy gardening, learning, and giving back to your community, consider becoming a Penn State Extension Master Gardener. New volunteers are always welcome!
