Strong attention to detail is an essential component of building homes to the upmost quality, precision and excellent craftsmanship. Thankfully, we have on-site “Inspector Kiwi”, a new Hamish Murray Construction bird mascot, inspecting projects in progress.

This project currently underway is in Vancouver, Washington. Some features of this home include white oak hardwoods, a marble shower, and custom tile wainscoting.

Who would not want to walk from your house to this beautiful office space?

We teamed up with Christie Architecture LLC, to help build their very own detached architectural studio. It includes a half bath and a break room sink, making it a functional space separate from the home. The exterior features board and batten-stained rough sawn cedar siding, a rain screen with 1” of exterior insulation below, and an Ipe boardwalk. The roof is a pre painted standing seam, which closely resembles zinc in color. The metal roof is over 8” of rigid insulation, which allows for a cathedral ceiling inside. This studio merges beautifully with the landscape around it and we love the result!

In any home that includes large sliding glass doors, there's there's no room for tolerance. This expansive window wall, opening up to 25' wide, required a steel frame with headers, installed with a large crane, to create this precision. The result is breathe-taking, providing natural light and beauty to saturate the interior, and giving opportunity for wonderful indoor/outdoor social gatherings.
