Another bathroom remodel roughed in

Happy Friday! We are starting off the day removing some cast iron

One of today’s calls. While in the process of replacing a bathroom floor, contractors found a cracked fl**ge when they pulled the toilet. We were able to get out same day and make the necessary repairs as it’s the homeowners only bathroom in their home. Crisis averted and the contractors can resume their project πŸ‘ 🚽

The old water service under the foundation of the building burst 🌊 they chose the path of least resistance by abandoning the old and running a new water service above grade. We tied into their new ball valve and piped a new 2” copper main overhead and tied back it back in where the old service came out of the slab

Welcome home! Unfortunately, issues seems to arise pretty quickly after the purchase of a new home, as you uncover all the issues the previous owners hid. Within a week of moving in this unsuspecting couple was blindsided by sewage overflowing in their basement. We were able to get out same day to clear the clog and returned to perform a spot repair after our camera inspection located a section of pipe where there was a large belly, trapping water and creating clogs. We were able to make pitch and help our customers settle into their new home 🏠πŸͺ

Today we started out in East Hampton connecting a gas cooktop for a remodel we are working on. We then moved on to a call in Southington where we rebuilt a toilet and snaked a sewer main that has root intrusion. We then had a pair of East Hartford calls to finish the day

Spring is here! We replaced another three outdoor faucets today. All three were frost-free style with new quarter-turn ball valves inside. For the faucet in the photo, we had to terminate the old spigot that was above the electrical panel and drill a new hole through the brick to move the spigot to a new location. We also removed the self-piercing valve before it had a chance to burst πŸ’₯ πŸ’¦πŸš°

We installed a frost-free hose spigot that also has a quarter-turn function and a larger, softer, and more ergonomic handle. Additionally, we removed their saddle self-piercing valve and installed a new valve along with a stainless steel braided supply line for their ice maker. Saddle valves are not code compliant and are prone to leak or burst 🚰🧊

A couple new spigots with new ball valve shut off inside in the basement. These spigots feature a ball valve style handle, operate compared to the standard multi-turn spigots that require a significant amount of effort to turn off completely 🚰πŸͺ΄
