This week, we had our annual pumpkin painting contest at the corporate office and everyone’s inner artist really shown through!

The winner of this friendly competition receives a small prize, but most of all, bragging rights until next year.

Tell us, which pumpkin is your favorite?

Every September, OEG employees trade spreadsheets for power-ups and project meetings for Mario Kart during our annual Retro Game Bash. Twice during the month, team members can drop in during their lunch hour to participate in activities like Mario Kart, the Street Fighter II Challenge, Perler bead crafting, a retro gaming quiz, the Tetris Challenge, and the always-popular Halo 2 LAN Party.

The real MVPs are the members of our Engineering team, who dedicate hours of planning, organizing, hauling equipment, setting up consoles, coordinating events, and creating an experience that employees look forward to every year. Their effort turns a few lunch breaks into one of OEG's favorite traditions.

Whether you're chasing a high score, landing a perfect Hadouken, or reliving the glory days of Halo 2, Retro Game Bash proves that a little friendly competition can go a long way.

Work hard. Play hard. Power On.

We're proud to share that Team OEG participated in this year's Sole Support for Parkinson's walk in Portland, joining hundreds of community members in support of those living with Parkinson's disease. Organized by Parkinson's Resources of Oregon (PRO), the annual event raises awareness and funding for programs that provide information, education, support services, and advocacy for individuals with Parkinson's and their families throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our employees, families, friends, and partners, OEG raised $10,320 and had more than 43 team members sign up to participate. Every dollar helps PRO continue offering vital local resources, support groups, wellness programs, and educational services that improve the quality of life for those impacted by Parkinson's disease.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, walked, and helped make a difference. We are honored to support such an important cause and to stand alongside a community committed to ensuring that no one faces Parkinson's alone.

Today, we'd like to highlight Trillium Ward for our Employee Spotlight!

Trillium was nominated by our field leader Tony Reese who had this to say about her help on a recent project:

"Trillium recently came out to help me on the Pearson Airport project and was very beneficial with helping on the very technically lighting project. I would have been lost if she hadn't came out and helped me with the technical aspects that I sometimes struggle with."

Congratulations Trillium! OEG is very lucky to have people like you willing to help out fellow employees whenever they're asked.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the bravery shown, and the resilience that brought us together on one of the darkest days in American history 25 years ago.

Let us honor the heroes and cherish the strength of unity that helped us rebuild, heal, and move forward as a community.

May this solemn anniversary remind us of the power of compassion and the importance of standing together.

This weekend, three OEG teams took on The Mother of All Relays with two running teams and one walking team representing us from mountain to coast. From the early miles to the final exchange, they embraced the challenge, supported one another, and showed what teamwork is all about.

Hood & Portland to Coast isn’t just about crossing the finish line. It’s about doing hard things together, encouraging your teammates when they’re tired, and pushing beyond what you thought was possible. We’re proud of every runner, walker, driver, cheerleader, and volunteer who made the weekend a success.

Congratulations to all three teams for representing OEG with grit, determination, and an incredible team spirit. Here’s to stepping up, challenging ourselves, and proving once again that we’re stronger together.

Congratulations to our Q2 Planning & Prefab Winner, Aligned PDX01 Phase 2! We were excited to celebrate this incredible achievement with a crew lunch last week.

Over the quarter, they were able to use 43% of their labor hours on prefabricated items such as strut supports, panel buildouts, custom cabinets, & conduit bends.

Thanks to the entire team for such a successful quarter!
