June events! I've got 5 markets in June (as of now) you can catch me at! I'll have my standbys (botanical candles, teas, tinctures and botanical art in glass) as well as handmade eco printed zipper bags, wallets and bandanas, plant dyed tea towels, socks and scrunchies, and plant dyed clothing (upcycled natural fibers redesigned and dyed with plants by me!).

Midsummer Folk Market at June 6th

Plant Swap and Market June 12th

along foster in Foster-Powell area June 13th

I'll also be at Summer Solstice market in Multnomah Village June 20th and at Lents Pride Market and Show June 28th.

And some real talk - May was full of ups and downs for the biz. I had my best market ever (yay!) and also my worst market ever (sad times). I was planning to take July off from markets (and garden clients except for maintenance because it's usually too hot), but I think I may be adding some because the gardening part of the business has been super slow, markets have been wildly inconsistent and frankly, this small biz is struggling (like so many are atm). So if you know anyone that needs help creating an edible/native garden or you know of a market or workshop collab you think Vessel Kitchen Gardens would be a good fit for, let me know! I want to keep going with this little eco conscious business I've built, but every day it gets harder. Please remember how vital it is to support the small businesses in your community - shares, likes, comments all help even if you can't purchase anything. We need our community now more than ever.

Ok, off tend my OWN garden for once and get some plant therapy! See you at some markets soon, planty bbs.

So stoked to be adding sustainable, naturally dyed clothing to the list of Vessel Kitchen Garden's botanical offerings in 2026. I'm always searching for new ways to utilize the plants around me (and to get those dopamine hits for my adhd 😂), and to keep things as sustainable as possible in my life and my business. Times are hard, so I want to make sure my little garden company is focusing on products that are not only sustainable and unique, but also functional! Of course whimsy is important too when you're trying to spark joy, so you'll see some things like that from me too. But clothing just felt like a natural progression for this maker, plant grower, and dyer.

All of the pieces I will be offering will be handmade using upcycled 100% natural, plant-based fabrics , prioritizing linen and cotton. The fabrics are then reimagined utilizing plant dyes and quilting/appliqué designs. I prioritize using dye plants I grow in my garden or forage (I can't wait for indigo season) - some of my faves are St John's wort, marigold, Oregon grape root, and onion skins!

I'm super excited to bring these offering to markets this year - happy to take orders via DM as well so you can snag them before they hit the markets! I am also offering a few commissions if there's an idea you wanted me to bring to life.

What kind of clothing options are you post interested in from me? Pants, sh*ts, jackets, shorts, dresses? Let me know!

Gardening friends! I am hosting a community seed swap THIS Sunday, January 25th from 10-1pm. Link to FB event with more details in bio!

Bring seeds to share, and take seeds you need! You don't have to bring seeds to take seeds :) If you have jars or envelopes to take home loose seeds please bring them :) I will have some seed envelopes and pens available as well.

🌱 Please bring organic/heirloom/open-pollinated seed if possible to help continue our mission of stewarding ecological health and biodiversity.

🌻 If you are sharing seeds, please try and list variety, year harvested, if it's a hybrid seed, or an anything else you think people should know!

🌿If you're new to gardening and don't have seeds to share, that's ok! Please come by and take what you need; we want growing food, medicine, and habitat to be accessible to all!

🪴 Feel free to share with your garden loving friends!

I cannot believe it's almost December!! I had so many grand plans to slow down and do the things I'd been putting off - no such luck thus far. But so is the life of a small business I suppose. I am being very intentional this year about time off though. I'm hustling all of November and most of December but have carved out Dec 20-Jan 2nd as a period of rest. Time with friends, family, and myself. No deadlines, no gardens, no markets. I may post a bit here and there but no real "work". And the hope is I come into 2026 refreshed and motivated and full of creative ways to move my business forward with more unique and interesting ways to utilize plants, mushrooms and lichen that I grow on my garden and forage in the wild.

Until then, I've got markets and workshops for ya! One more in November, the Wicked Craft Bazaar at on November 29th 11-7 - my planty witches are gonna love this one! And the next day (November 30th) is my Fall Herbal Tea Class at (have you registered? Ticket link in my bio).

Then we head into December with one of my fave markets, Makers Market on December 5th from 5-9Pm, then on December 6th I have Holiday Market from 10-4pm, and on December 12th I'm leading a Foraged Wreath Making Workshop at from 6:15-8:15pm (register using the link in my bio!; only 3 spots left).

I'll post again later in December with my final events before my hiatus starting Dec 20th.

Which markets and workshops are you going to this holiday season? Let me know in the comments!
