Summer may be over, but your tick prevention routine still has work to do! 🍂

It is a common misconception that cooler weather means ticks will be less active. This can make it easy to forget about ticks while enjoying fall hikes, yardwork, and backyard playtime. It is important to keep checking yourself, your kids, and your pets after spending time outside, even when you’re reaching for a jacket. 🔎

ohDEER is here to provide All-Natural Tick Control services through the changing seasons so you can Enjoy More Time Outside. 💚

Fall foliage isn’t the only thing to watch for on your drive! 🍂🦌

Fall is a busy season for deer, so keep an eye out for unexpected crossings, especially around dawn and dusk.

Slow down near wooded areas, pay attention to deer crossing signs, and remember: if you see one deer, others may be following! Wet leaves can also make roads slippery, so leave extra space between vehicles and allow more time to stop.

A little extra awareness goes a long way toward helping everyone enjoy the season safely. 💚

Your fall plans are picking up and tick prevention should keep pace! 🍂

Clearing leaf buildup and staying consistent with your tick control program can help reduce tick habitats and activity around your property.

September is a transition month for whitetail deer. 🦌

As daylight hours shorten, many bucks begin shedding their velvet and rubbing their antlers against trees and shrubs. Deer also adjust their feeding patterns as summer vegetation changes and fall food sources become available. That may mean increased activity around landscaping that offers an easy, dependable meal.

Have you noticed more deer activity around your property lately? ohDEER’s All-Natural Deer Control helps deter deer from feeding on your plants throughout the changing seasons. 🌲

Fall sports season means players, coaches, parents and siblings are spending hours near grassy fields, wooded edges and fallen leaves where ticks may be hiding.

After practices and games, check clothing, blankets and equipment before bringing everything inside. Make a quick head-to-toe inspection part of the postgame routine, paying special attention behind the knees, around the waist, under the arms and near the hairline.

A little awareness can help your family safely enjoy every game, practice and outdoor adventure this fall! If you are concerned about tick activity around your home, contact your local ohDEER team to learn about our all-natural tick control services. 🦌

Deer Feeding Alert 🚨 If you're noticing freshly clipped stems, missing flower buds, or shrubs that suddenly look "pruned," deer may be the reason.

Unlike rabbits, which leave clean cuts close to the ground, deer browse by tearing vegetation with their lower teeth, leaving behind ragged, uneven ends on branches and plants. They often return to the same food source again and again, causing increasing damage over time.

The sooner you recognize the signs of deer feeding, the sooner you can take steps to protect your landscape before more of your hard work disappears. Not sure if deer are the culprit? Our experts can help identify the damage and recommend an all-natural solution to keep deer away. Call today to schedule a FREE Deer Assessment of your property.

While wooded trails are a common place to encounter ticks, they're just as likely to be found in backyards, tall grass, leaf litter, gardens, and along the edges where lawns meet wooded areas. You don't have to be deep in the forest to come into contact with one!

Making tick checks part of your routine after spending time outdoors is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself, your family, and your pets. The sooner you find a tick, the lower the risk of it remaining attached long enough to transmit certain tick-borne diseases.

At ohDEER, we're committed to helping families control tick populations around their homes so they can spend less time worrying and enjoy more time outside! 🌿🌤
