THIS is how you get HS students talking about the skilled trades!👷‍♀️🔧⚡

Kiersten and I had an absolute blast representing LEAD Industrial Staffing today at the Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend YOU Choose Career Expo, where approximately 3,000 students from across the Coastal Bend came together to explore their future career opportunities!

And of course… we couldn’t just stand behind a table & hand out brochures.😂

We created the LEAD 10 Skilled Trades Challenge:
10 items. 30 seconds. 5 tools + 5 PPE. How many can YOU name?

The competition got serious! We had students challenging their friends, watching the leaderboard, coming back to check scores and proudly holding up their LEAD 10 Skilled Trades Champion signs!!🏆

But underneath all the fun was a message we care deeply about:
The skilled trades are a career, not a fallback plan.

Electricians. Welders. Pipefitters. Millwrights. Instrumentation. Industrial maintenance. Construction. Marine. Manufacturing. These careers build the industries that keep the Coastal Bend moving, and they can provide incredible opportunities for young people who choose that path. Today was about planting that seed.

People. Skills. Possibilities.
That’s what LEAD is all about. 💙💛

Very thankful today as I reflect on 7 years with LEAD!💙

Sometimes one conversation, one connection, or one opportunity changes the entire direction of your life and career. I’m grateful our paths crossed and that we’ve continued building something meaningful together for our clients, workforce, and community!

Thank you to everyone who came to LEAD’s Cinco de Mayo Networking Mixer last night!

The margaritas were flowing. We had some great giveaway bundles every 30 minutes and the networking was STRONG!!🍹🔥

Good food🌮
Great people🤝
Amazing energy🎉
And a room full of opportunity👏

We were so excited to invite local businesses to come together and connect, support each other, and have a LIL fun while doing it (some more than others)😜!! Such a great evening and a lot of laughs!

LEAD had an amazing time playing in and sponsoring Hole 14 at the The American Petroleum Institute (API) Corpus Christi Chapter Golf Tournament! We enjoyed building relationships one hole at a time!⛳

Our LEAD Operations team hit the course and represented us well, while the rest of the crew hosted the hydration station- pretty fitting considering keeping projects running smoothly is exactly what we do every day!🙌

The new LEAD caps may have stolen the show 😂 along with Stanley cup giveaways, great conversations, and a 🔫 raffle that definitely got people’s attention! Congratulations to Zach Smith who was the lucky winner!

Golf courses and staffing job sites have one thing in common…success depends on who you’ve got on your team!⛳
