It seemed so wild to be experiencing my first Opera in the midst of the Timothy Chalemet kerfuffle regarding the primacy of Opera as an artform.

I so appreciated the labor of love on display by the entire organization.

This artform isn't dying regardless of what Timothy says… its evolving. 🙏🩷💪

And this performance in particular was very timely… we need art that comforts, entertains, but also, in this case, with something to say about the “interesting times” we live in.

Side note: does your car have a spare tire? A pox on cars without one. Not ok.
