The Heritage House

Heritage House is a new single-family residence in the Southwest Washington countryside.

Its gable roof is inspired by minimal gabled houses that define the architectural vernacular in Underdahl, Norway, a small fishing village on a fjord that is the ancestral hometown of the owners. Scandinavian details of the ancient village have been modernized and adapted to the Washington context.

Three distinct wings, private bedrooms, shared living spaces., and the primary suite are arranged around a central outdoor patio and fireplace.
