Precision falling is sometimes the most efficient and safest way to get hazardous trees on the ground. This maple only had an inch of wood left surrounding a large decay cavity not visible from the ground.
Large maples and other decurrent trees near homes should be inspected every 3-5 years to ensure no major defects are creating a hazard to targets below.
