There are two forms of beauty that rarely keep company, often considered to be in direct opposition of one another. One is that of order, the impossibly straight line, the perfectly balanced proportion, the surface finished to a tolerance that only modern craftsmanship could achieve. The other is that of freedom, of cascades descending with reckless abandon, waves crashing against their container, water that never allows itself to be defined by a single shape.

And yet it is in the marriage of these forms that true beauty arises, their opposition transformed into symphonic harmony, disciplined in its definition yet unrestrained in its meaning. Neither is lessened by the other, and what emerges is something neither could achieve alone: a vision of the exacting hand, released by the willingness to let go.
