Been a while since I posted. Pictures from a recent job. Had a call for a multipoint door that was locked. Owner had key, key was free spinning in kik cylinder. At first I thought the tail peice became disconnected. Upon looking at the shootbolts the lock was fully extended. Ended up drilling out the posts that the interior screws mount in. Then disengaged the gearbox. Turns out the gearbox had broke when it was locked. Put on temporary post until a new gearbox comes in. Overall a fun experience. Got tired of drilling these smart key locks out when customers lock their keys in their house. So I cut a blank to number 4 depth and seems to work nice with a pair of vise grips. This is a forced entry, although there is no visible signs of damage to the lock.
