We were originally taught the trade by our father, Russ, who has spent decades in the construction industry and instilled in us the importance of doing things the right way. While building our experience in construction, we also pursued careers in public service. I’m a full-time firefighter, and Michael i

s a registered nurse. That first responder background has shaped the way we approach our business. Now THAT is a transformation. 🏠🔥

This exterior got the full HOME by Tru Grit treatment, and the difference speaks for itself.

For the front elevation, we went with CertainTeed MainStreet Cedar Impressions, bringing texture, character, and a completely new look to the home. Along the sides, we transitioned into 4" clapboard siding for a clean, timeless finish.

But as always, it’s the details that bring everything together.

We removed the existing railing, boxed out the front porch pillars, and finished them with PVC moldings to give the entrance a stronger, more polished presence. Every transition, corner, and finish detail was thought through to make the entire exterior feel intentional.

The goal wasn’t simply to put new siding on a house.

The goal was to completely change the way this home feels when you pull into the driveway.

Beautiful materials. Clean ex*****on. Attention to the details that matter.

Competition? We’d rather call it collaboration.

One thing we continue to learn as HOME by Tru Grit Consultant Group grows is that there is plenty of room at the table for good companies doing good work.

This recent deck project is a perfect example of what a true growth partnership can look like.

The team at get.housewell brought the project together, coordinated the vision with the client, and trusted the HOME by Tru Grit team to execute the build.

From there, it was simple: two companies, one client, one vision, and one common goal — deliver something we could ALL be proud of.

And this one came out absolutely beautiful.

We don't believe every company in our industry needs to be viewed as competition. The right relationships create opportunities. The right partnerships bring different strengths to the table. And when everyone puts their ego aside and focuses on the client, some pretty incredible things can happen.

We've mentioned this before, and we're happy to say it again... and again.

When clients become friends, it takes the entire experience to another level.

When a working relationship becomes personal, that's when a TEAM is created. That's when an idea turns into a passion project. That's when trust is built, creativity takes over, and a simple vision becomes a reality.

When Adam and Noelle called us with their idea, we were excited. Not only because the concept itself was incredibly unique, but because they trusted us to be creative and gave us the freedom to help bring their vision to life.

From the very first conversation to the final details and everything in between, the Tru Grit team was given the opportunity to swing for the fences and deliver something truly special.

HOME by Tru Grit Consultant Group was honored to be invited to the Grand Opening of The Boulevard Play Cafe in Manalapan, NJ.

When Brittany and Brandon first reached out to us, they had a vision. Not just a business, but a place where children could learn, explore, imagine, and create memories. From day one, their passion for this project was undeniable.

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is watching a client's vision come to life. Seeing this transformation from an empty commercial space into a fully interactive custom-built mini town was incredible. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and their dedication to creating something truly special for families in the community never wavered.

What makes a project like this even more special is that it wasn't built by one person or one company. It was the result of many talented teams, tradesmen, vendors, designers, and professionals all working toward a common goal. We were proud to play a role alongside so many hardworking people who helped bring this vision to life. It takes a village to create something this unique, and everyone involved should be proud of what was accomplished.

As contractors, we have the opportunity to work with many great people, but every so often a project comes along where clients become friends. Brittany and Brandon's commitment, positivity, and excitement throughout this journey made it easy to become invested in their success. We found ourselves just as excited as they were to watch this dream take shape.

Being invited back for the Grand Opening and seeing the space filled with smiling families and excited children was a full-circle moment for our team. It was a reminder of why we love what we do.

What started as a major kitchen leak quickly turned into the perfect opportunity to breathe new life into this beautiful early-1900s home.

After water damage affected the lower cabinetry, our clients began exploring renovation options, only to be met with astronomical pricing. At HOME by Tru Grit Consultant Group, we firmly believe homeowners shouldn’t have to sacrifice their vision simply because pricing gets out of control.
Our approach has always been simple: Work with the client. Respect the budget. Deliver the vision.

This project involved a full kitchen gut and remodel, but one thing was non-negotiable, preserving the incredible character and vintage craftsmanship that made this home special in the first place.

After the full gut, sheetrock, flooring, and cabinetry phase was completed, it was time to focus on the finish moldings. The original woodwork throughout the home was absolutely beautiful, and we knew the final details needed to be executed with precision. Every molding detail was carefully replicated piece by piece, blending timeless character with a clean, modern twist while staying true to the home's original charm.

This one was an absolute blast from start to finish, and we’re incredibly thankful to the Osmendsen family for trusting HOME by Tru Grit Consultant Group with their renovation journey.

Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with Kevin from Adapting Social based out of Monmouth County, NJ.

First impressions matter, and Kevin showed up early, prepared, knowledgeable, and ready to have a real conversation. We spent time discussing his background, the marketing industry, and how Adapting Social helps businesses strengthen their brand and grow their presence in today's competitive marketplace.

What I appreciated most was that there was absolutely no pressure.

No aggressive sales tactics.
No unrealistic promises.
No "sign here today" mentality.

Instead, Kevin took the time to educate, answer questions, and explain what opportunities may exist for a growing company like ours. The conversation felt natural. What started as two strangers meeting for the first time quickly turned into two friends simply talking life, sharing experiences, and exchanging ideas.

I'm a huge believer in surrounding yourself with people who Stand On Business. People who are transparent, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping others succeed. Kevin checked every one of those boxes.
