A great day on the course for an even better cause! 🎯

Yesterday, Sam, John, and Jess represented Beard Construction Group at the Ampirical Clay Shoot, held as part of the 2026 Ampirical Safety and Subcontractor Summit. The event brought industry professionals together for a day of friendly competition, networking, and support for Hearts On the Line, a wonderful nonprofit organization!

Thank you to Ampirical for organizing such a great event and bringing everyone together to support a meaningful cause. The food was delicious, the weather was amazing, and the company was even better!

Fair enough. Here are our answers.

What do we do?

We build the civil infrastructure that lays the groundwork for complex industrial and manufacturing projects. Site development and mass earthwork, underground infrastructure, deep foundations, and concrete construction are our core scopes.

How do we do it?

With our own people, equipment, field leadership, and project management working together with our customer from planning through ex*****on. We self-perform the work we know well, plan around the realities of the site and weather conditions and stay close enough to the work to make decisions when they need to be made.

Why do we do it?

Because we're builders. We like difficult work, we like seeing tangible progress, and we take pride in being part of projects that create something bigger than the work we perform ourselves.

How does it benefit our clients?

Fewer handoffs. Better coordination between scopes. People who understand how today's work affects what comes next. And a contractor with the resources to execute large, complex work while remaining accessible and accountable to the client.

What should owners consider when budgeting civil construction?

A reliable budget begins with a clearly defined scope.

Site quantities, geotechnical conditions, schedule, material availability, logistics, location, and risk can all significantly affect cost. Our responsibility is to understand those variables, develop realistic pricing, and clearly communicate the assumptions, inclusions, and exclusions behind it.

There. No vague answers.
