WARNING: if squeamish don’t look at the last pic.

First batch of bread knives are done and I tried my hardest to be carful when installing the blade. You’d think I’d learn from last year when I made them. However, I didn’t succeed. 2nd oopsie was worse than the first so I can say I put my blood, sweat and tears into my work. Maybe not tears but you get the idea šŸ˜ Blade covers are staying on until these beauties get to their new homes!!
5 are done but I will have a bunch more for my market next week.
The curl on one of the walnut knives is so gorgeous, it wraps around the entire handle. Come to my first market next Friday and grab it because once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. All pieces are one of a kind.

First batch of bread boards are done.

Full transparency on this one….

As most of you know and have seen in my work, I hold my boards to a very high standard. This one has a very small spot that was a bit difficult to work on and without making the board too thin, a part of it had to stay. It doesn’t affect the integrity of the board at all. Just a little cosmetic blip. You can barely tell in the picture but I know it’s there. I was going to just keep it, but this board is still so beautiful!! The character in the walnut with the epoxy flowing though is gorgeous.
So…..I will bring this one with me next Friday night, if you want it, come say hi and I’ll give you a discount.

And this is why I love walnut šŸ‘Œ šŸ˜

I have to say, the emerald green pigment is by far my favourite I’ve used since starting this epoxy journey. It’s so elegant looking and goes well with any hardwood I pair with it.
The round board is an example of why walnut is the best and most sought after. The price I pay for rough live edge is worth it when you see it come alive during finishing. The character in this piece is stunning.
Pictures don’t do these two pieces justice.
They will be available next wkend at my first market of the year under the moonlit pavilion!! But once they’re gone, they’re gone forever!!

Had a productive night in the shop last night. 4 more epoxy pieces are flat and have their round overs. Rough cut a bakers dozen bread knives as well. That took a while on the bandsaw!! Phew. No CNC here!! Just goes to show that every single piece out of my shop is handmade individually by me šŸ‘Š
Each handle now has to be flush trimmed then rounded over at the router table and it’s ready for hand sanding and blade installation.

New market display stand is complete!! I love how versatile the French cleat system is in my shop so thought it would be a cool idea for a display stand. What’s even better is the whole thing completely breaks down for easy transport to my markets. The main sheet folds in half on hinges and everything bolts together.

Can’t wait to hear what you all think at my first market August 28th at the Pavilion!!
