Tuesday Thoughts: What happens when the work in the field doesn’t match the original plans? ⚡
Construction projects often require adjustments along the way. Conduit may need to be rerouted, equipment can be relocated, or circuits may be added as the project develops.
Those changes are recorded as redlines during construction and then incorporated into the final as-built drawings.
Accurate as-builts give the building owner a dependable record of what was actually installed—not simply what was originally designed. That information becomes especially valuable when the facility needs maintenance, repairs or future expansion.
It may look like someone is just marking up a set of plans, but this documentation is an important part of delivering a complete project and taking care of the customer long after construction ends.
At Avid, attention to detail doesn’t stop when the installation is complete.
