Just a quick video of me hollowing out a bowl. This video is running at eight times the normal speed so that I could take 30 minutes and bring it down to 6. The outside in bottom of the bowl has already been turned and finished. Hope you find this a bit amusing.

The little library is back on track. After a hiatus of Christmas projects, three weeks of the flu and other customer orders putting the little library on hold it is back to work. Putting two very thick coats of Valspar StormCoat exterior paint, covering all surfaces even up in the roof that will not see the light of day, (I feel it's important to make sure it is sealed from any kind of moisture). The pocket holes in the roof that were drilled will be filled with exterior caulking.

Well we’ve been very busy at the Bodie Trading company. Santas workshop has been busy for the last 2 1/2 weeks… But unfortunately we can’t show any of the work yet because most of them are gifts,  and we would hate to spoil the surprise until after Christmas.

Just a heads up..... Here are some of the new styles of pens that I will be turning over the next few days. Prepping the blanks, turning them on the lathe, Finishing and assembly takes me Just over a little more than two hours a pen. These ballpoint pens are handcrafted one-at-a-time out of many types of domestic and exotic hardwoods in my small wood shop. Here are some of the styles I'll be working on.

Worked up this design in CAD for a wine caddy. It would hold one bottle of wine and two wine glasses and I would have the capability of laser etching any personalized message or name on the caddy. Thoughts would be to make the darker wood out of mahogany and the lighter wood out of Birch, but these can all be customized. Any thoughts or interest in something like this?
