Busting out building pads like it’s going out of style. I bought this little box blade and Trimble earthworks 2d for my skid steer a couple years ago. Compared to all the tech available for heavy equipment now, it’s pretty simple and inexpensive. When you need a level pad though, it’s hard to beat. I calculate the material needed, add a percentage for compaction and go. We used it recently on footings for the ice rink and I think the concrete guys will be pleased.

We haven’t slowed down much this winter. I’m very grateful for all of our wonderful clients and general contractors that keep these machines moving. Since there hasn’t been any snow to plow this winter I guess we’ll just keep moving dirt! *knocking on wood
